what is the best deck you can get that can play a cd...ipod... having bluetooth phone stuff and other capabilities like usb... without an lcd touchscreen and up to $300.

alpine for sure. idk if it will be under threehundo but definitley alpines quality, good look, good power, easy install and the new ones have a usb throught the back and you can go through your ipod via the deck while your ipods in your glovebox. really convenient and nice. def a good idea. some even have a remote. both have same features the sony beats pioneer in few things price is the same what do you think?

i like the sony because of the Front-panel auxiliary input: 3.5mm (headphone jack) allows connection to portable media devices such as MP3 players, etc.and the Rear auxiliary input: Rear USB connection

but if you are more interested in sound adjustments (sound quality for you specific speakers and setup) then the pioneer would be a better choice

Would someone PLEASE answer my few questions about HOME-RECORDING?

My recordings sound fuzzy and amateur-ish. What can I do to make them sound better? As of right now I have a Fostex digital recorder than I use as the interface and I plug it into the MIC input on PC.
The software I use is Adobe Audition 3.0.
Would it sound better if I used a USB cable from the recorder to the PC?
Would an actual INTERFACE make the recordings clearer, or is the recorder fine for that?
It all just sounds fuzzy. When I use effects like NOISE REDUCTION and stuff it seems to take a lot away from the actual music.

One of the ways you can improve your audio recordings, whether from voice or your personal recordings is by using a high quality webcam as it can be used as a mic or for recording audio through USB. It can help with adobe audition to filter the noise better as the webcam audio is now more digital then having it through the mic in. You can also plug in your digital recorder you have to the USB after you record it from the device and transfer the audio file to your hard drive and just use adobe to record and edit the sound. Hope this helps you with this situation.

Car Stereo Install Static Problem?

I just installed a Clarion NX500 In-Dash DVD/Navigation in my 2002 Toyota Highlander...everything works great as far as the overall stereo is concerned, BUT as soon as I turn the volume level from 0 to 1, there is a faint Static that comes through all of the speakers. You can drown out the static when you turn up the volume, but if you try to watch a movie and there is dialouge, the constant static is quite annoying.

So, the static noise does not increase as you increase the volume, but its always there. It is there whether you are on Tuner/DVD/iPod...either way. The "pro" who helped me install it says that the Clarion unit is probably bad. He says the connections have nothing to do with it. Could this be the case that the unit is bad? Could it be the unit is too powerful for the speakers? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does the static only come on when the engine is running? If so than try this, Put your car in neutral while engine is running and turn the stereo on at a point where you can hear the static clearly, now accelerate your engine a little. does the static increase as you accelerate the engine? if yes than the unit is more subject to interference.Get a model like Sony they have better resistance to engine interference.

onkyo tx-sr705 receiver | red static?

Ummm well we have the onkyo tx-sr705 receiver (received it yesterday) and well it was working perfectly earlier. Left to do some errands real quick, came back, turned everything on & every audio/video input (DVD, Aux, Game, Cbl/Sat) has red static on it. nobody was home to have messed with it. Husband isn't home to see whats up with it, but thought I'd ask just in case.
