10 inch subs in a 12 inch sub enclosure?
i currently have two kenwood 10 inch subs with 1,000 watt mono kenwood amp, with a kenwood deck. however the enclosure on the subs are for 12 inch subwoofers. will this affect the sound ?
because my friend has the same setup except for a box enclosure for 10inch subs and it sounds better than mine.
Yes, It will affect the sound because as you know most 10in subs do not push as mush air as 12in subs there for the 10in subs can not push the amount of air the the box needs to make the box sound as it should, if you switch over to the size box you friend is using it would sound just as good if not better depending on weather you have them in a car or truck.
